How do you say spam in Icelandic?
So, for Jenny it was getting her package and hideous singlet that finally got her excited for the trip. Not me. I'm not a huge fan of the "group thing" and having all that group stuff rubbed in my face actually made me feel a little queasy.
For me, the real excitement hit when I got this weird email today. The subject line was: Reykjavíkurmaraþon Glitnis, and remarkably it took me a minute to mine the word Reykjavik out of that mess. When I eventually realized that it was not a creative new subject for spam, I was delighted to open it up and have my screen fill with this strange and magical language.
Gangi þér vel og góða skemmtun.
I'm going to Iceland!
And more immediately, I'm just heading out for my second post-back run - uping the ante from 6 to 10k this time... we'll see how she goes.

hehehe i liked that email, too :) i actually wore my singlet out for my run today! :)
hope your 2nd run goes as well as your first!
Second run was great. It's like I was taking it for granted before - now I feel SO LUCKY that I am able to run... plus it was a gorgeous night, and I ran at 6pm from work, so I found all sorts of other runners out on the trail that at lunchtime is usually just dog walkers.
Jenny: are you sleeping in your singlet?!?
